Get crashed while importing Canon 5D Mark III H.264 MOV files to Sony Vegas Pro 10/11/12/13 for editing? If so, just follow this simple way to fix the MOV and Sony Vegas incompatible problems.
Q: Sony vegas pro 13, only imports audio from Canon 5D Mark III .MOV files
"I got some files for a short movie I recorded to edit on sony vegas on my pc, the files are .mov files, Recorded by the Canon 5D Mark iii. I get home and it only imports audio into my Sony Vegas timeline. I dont mean the video is black, I mean it does not import it at all, just the sound. I can play the file fine on both quicktime and WMP with visual.
Any help would be greatly appreciated."
Okay, as some guys suggest, you can change the file name from *.MOV to *.MPG and then import the MPGs into Sony Vegas. You may have a try. While, when I tired the way, the files still can’t be imported to Sony Vegas perfectly. Message says: "File format not supported". It seems that the re-naming method does not work.
